Portland Bound

 I'm less than 24 hours away from stepping foot in Portland, Oregon. The Lord is good.

Here's a small portion of what to occasionally expect from the blog! ...except less buff moms and more scrawny dudes.

summer

i have no idea why i'm posting other than i'm waiting for my webcam to update. boof. my cat just sneezed and then rubbed his eyes and nose like people do. it was funny. don't give me that look, this cat's the bomb.

summer, eh? where to start. school's over. second semester of year one came to a close and my gpa was 3.4. pretty cool, i guess! i ended the year with a... 3.27..something. that's not bad for year one. 48 hours down.. 78 to go. five semesters, tops. wow,  it's flying by. in two weeks i'll be on a plane to Portland, Oregon to spend two months of my life. why? people in portland need Jesus ..and God called me there. 44% of the people in Portland claim to be non-religious. do you know how LIBERAL they are? the tolerance level there is going to be insane. pray. pray pray pray. pray for the people we'll meet. pray for divine appointments. pray for the spiritual strongholds in the city and hearts of those in the city. pray for the team. pray for me. pray. just pray. spend 10 minutes or 10 weeks, but pray. please and thank you! when i get back, i'll have a week of chill and rest time before i start at Pantego Bible Church as the high school intern. year long, paid internship. WHAT? the Lord is good, y'all. good. that's about all i have to say i guess. life is good. God is still on the throne and that won't ever change, so we always have a reason to party. bored? read 2 Timothy. that's all. pray!

bring on finals! two online, two in class, one exemption, and computer science didn't have one. praise. the. LORD. what happens after finals? two and a half weeks of chill time. prayer, family, friends, ..mmmm, just spending time in rest before i head off to Portland for two months. Jehovah Jireh, The Lord will provide. He called me to Portland, He paid my way, the fields are white for harvest, and His word never comes back void. I am excited for the end of the trip. why? i will be a new man.. yikes.. and we will be broken for the Gospel unlike anything we have ever known having experienced the power of the the word and love of the Father in the lives of Portland..ians...? yeah. How can you help? pray. pray now.. before you read beyond this sentence, pray for the people of Portland and for those of us who are being sent as a mouthpiece for God.

thank you! Continue in prayer for the duration of the summer please please pleeeeease! there is a week left of my first year of college. weird. praise God, man.. praise God. interview in two and half hours with the executive pastor of Pantego Bible Church. Pray for that too!

what's been going on lately? life. that's about it. the Lord, though, never fails. He continually leads me to more patience, gentleness, selflessness, and the deepest rooted faith and trust I have could ever know. His word doesn't come back void. ever. It accomplishes the purpose it was set out to avail; Isaiah 55:11 says so. the details don't really matter, but i'll tell you this.. it has been completely, entirely, wholly, unbelievably worth it. all of it. The Lord is good, ladies and gents, the Lord is good. His promises are the rainbow after the storm. When the storms have passed and the clouds roll back, when the sun breaks through the darkness and the season of spring is in full session, the Lord is the one to thank. new life. inhaaaaaaaaleee.... exhaaaaleee, sweet restoration. praise the Lord, oh my soul, praise the Lord. i have to finish a paper, the laundry, and get some sleep. tonight, my roommate and i fought with pool noodles in the middle of albertsons. why? college. that's why. fun fact. goodnight.
